Saturn in Pisces: 1993 Babies
Saturn has recently returned to move through Pisces once again as of March 7th, 2023. The last Saturn in Pisces transit is often discussed to have begun in 1994. That’s just not true. Many seem to forget, misremember or not realize that Saturn entered Pisces at 0 degrees in 1993 for 6 weeks from late May until late June. Saturn re-entered Pisces on January 28th, 1994. This little mighty crew of 1993 babies are Gemini/Cancer Sun sign Millennials (1981-1996). During the entire year of 1993, only the people born within this small 40-some days have Saturn at 0 degrees of Pisces in their natal birth chart. People born in 1993 outside of those 6 weeks have Saturn in Aquarius. Therefore, we hold unique wisdom that those older and younger than us rely upon because we were the first to get a taste of a whole new world (cue the Aladdin theme song). We are odd, rare, misheard, overlooked, counted out, dismissed and shy, but most importantly, we do in fact, EXIST.
Those born during this time in 1993 must strive through the depths to secure solid footing in a body seemingly foreign to our spirit in a world clearly dismissive of dreams. As a 1993 baby born in early June, my chart has this 0 degree Saturn in Pisces placement located within the decan of Neptune, positioned in the back booth of my 3rd house (which is ruled by Aquarius). My experience of space is abstract regardless of where I’m physically located at any given time; Naturally living through my nomadic spirit. In my early teen-hood I considered home to be intangible and houses to be nothing, but a location option for me to take shelter. I enjoy bringing an artistic approach to the basics of my physcial space ( no matter how small, limited or confined) because they’re a blessing that can bloom exponentially over time; All it takes is a mystical discipline to turn trash into treasure. Any space can become a realized fantasy or sanctuary as soon as a person with this placement enters said space, exerting their intentions into action from a current within, which calls the shots. In the world of Neptune, Saturn must soften its metallic core and loosen the pressure that provides a dependable structure. There’s a fluid way to be icy, but first one must teach their breath how to swim.
In the most basic sense, our ability to detect physical/non-physical realities comes from comprehending our senses first in abstract form then second in logic/reason/tradition. We don’t busy ourselves with how the reality will be built and instead day-dream our intentions in order to pin-point where to throw our faith around it like a lasso, enjoying the daily steps of effort in the meantime. So, orienting oneself steadily, while respecting our whimsical essence is necessary in order to live a life of well-being. Therefore, self-neglect must be dealt with directly so as to discern where our ability to understand others is inappropriately overdone, draining our will to honor our giving nature and the overall presence of other people. Overdoing compassion will lead these 1993 babies (and empaths in general) into full-blown bitterness. The 0 degree aspect for anyone with this placement (be mindful of house differences) speaks to the physical part of our human experience; It’s raw, new, even foreign to some extent. Our humanness is as tricky to grasp as our unfathomable grief. We are as complex to others as our emotional intelligence is deep. We are meant to experience and learn how to live our abstract natures in real time, manifest imaginative solutions, experience lesser known depths and share our rare wisdom.
Often we are treated as the outcasts, the intellectually underestimated and spiritually misunderstood kids in school as well as the black sheep of the family unit we’re raised in, born from, or both. We learn systemic processes and concepts slowly, yet easily comprehend the abstract issues behind the powers that be, responsible for the construction of the societal systems that inform the public. It’s only natural that we sacrifice the assumption that we belong to the world in order to belong to a home that’s bonded to our souls’ journey. This alone makes us willingly vulnerable, loving and forgiving, always seeing the spiritual details of the bigger picture, but rarely honored for the golden insight this world needs from us in order to advance. Thus, a pure heart dipped in mystery will come across as naive and even dumb to the ones who cannot fathom the love they’re needing is similar to the wisdom we’ve integrated from the harshest layers of grief.
Matters of prophecy, divination, emotional depth and personal destiny fill our life-paths. We know when living out the fullness of something has expired regardless of satisfaction by honoring the opportunity to move onwards for the sake of aligning ourselves authentically as we update. We seem aloof to most and therefore not taken seriously, intellectually speaking. Again, we learn slowly, soaking in the depths of the information that isn’t being spoken (or taught) yet shared silently, as obvious as an elephant in the room, while simultaneously holding space for what a persons’ voice is saying. We have much to say, but rarely speak unless it makes sense. Even when it does make sense to us, it’s typically misunderstood or difficult to fathom. Whether we speak or not, we steadily integrate information as knowledge to be applied to our real lives because we seek wisdom above knowledge. Due to the 3rd house placement, most are not prepared to realize or receive the plethora of insight we hold in our aura. Saturn in Pisces people are slippery on purpose because our boundaries, even when firmly held, are unfelt. Therefore we mindfully provide or bow out gracefully in order to compassionately support ourselves in our own endeavors. People tend to feel offended when we kindly listen, help, offer our insight and time in a way that respects our time, plans, dreams, schedule, and intentions because it feels so good to be learned, seen and loved. Leading our lives in accordance to a rich inner life, a submersion which produces an enigmatic aura, helps us limit that level of service to others: a mystical discipline. We may be the dreamer imagining fantasies unexplored, but those desires are taken seriously enough to acknowledge and sort out for the purpose of experiencing an updated reality.
Clearly, this 1993 Saturn in Pisces crew is an artistic force to be reckoned with because of our respect for imagined order. Our intelligence is flexible enough to be repeatedly initiated into the art of grasping faith, which is probably one of the most vital lessons we learn because the concept was taught to us through spiritual grief/torture/etc… This is the raw form of belonging to Soul, in body. So, spiritually speaking, this is not a game; this is real life. Being raw in our newness requires a practicing gratitude for privacy and intimacy regarding ourselves and others.
In our youth and in our maturity, our boundaries function as a translucent cloak; a concept I’ve been eager to share with the world. The translucent cloak is the physical body we wear while here on Earth; our human skin. This cloak is therefore on at birth, but realizing its presence is up to our own effort. We must see ourselves from a spiritual perspective in order to comprehend how to love ourselves while physically living in a body on Earth. After all, one day we were not of a human nature until manifested through the miracle of woman; And next thing we know we’re in a body. This is surely relatable to any human being. The difference is that a Saturn in Pisces (0 degree in the decan of Neptune) learns how to see everyone else from this lens early in life before realizing they’re wearing the cloak. We instinctually know to love people and treat them at a soul level, which is a step beyond the physical. Rarely are we seen fully or accurately in return. Remember when I mentioned we learn slowly to soak in the information? We will perceive the art of anybody, regardless of their faults or darkness; loving people despite themselves is about having enough grace to see all fragments of a personality for what they are and choose to perceieve beyond that. This is why it’s crucial for us to have functioning boundaries, flexible enough to depend on during the depths of sorrows/depression/alienation/abuse of any kind. In our maturity, we lead a life rooted in integrity, not just an emotional depth or intelligence, but a wisdom to know when to bow out gracefully. At our best we understand the purpose of said cloak, the spiritual dignity required, emotional/personal responsibility implied and the patience needed to learn how to wear the beauty of such a see-through material. Therefore we’re difficult to grasp because few have the desire to learn us accurately, at a soul level. As we mature we become more proficient at feeling multiple layers of depth within a world of extremes and within the polarities of human expression, while unwilling to overdo compassion for anyone.
This mighty crew of 1993 babies live the price of being hidden and the danger of being seen; simultaneously understanding that the body is a temporary privilege of a pit-stop. So, for anyone seeking to understand the current Saturn transit from a natal perspective, this is for you: When reality/society/culture/spirituality/religion/media is a FOG, what’s real is beneath the air you’re up in. Seeing at a birds eye view will not promise you the clarity you need nor the sanity you seek. This is about self-trust, memories, timeline options, emotions and emotional impact… they all pertain to fulfillment and your experience of joy. So, ask yourself this: are you moved by the emotional choices you’ve organized for yourself? Has the fullness of your euphoria expired? As a natal Saturn at 0 degrees in Pisces- Neptune decan - 3rd house and all… We have a way of teaching others how to gain within, to create the unavailable solution and provide others with a way to experience their newness. In pure Gemini style, we tend to encourage people to explore their personality enough to decide how to be themselves, all fragments included. Just remember, there’s expiration dates for everything inlcuding you. So, when you evolve yourself/life circumstances/well-being, your attunement to the voices you once paid attention to must eventually die, respectfully. It is rude to overstay your welcome.
